Lesbian Socialite Casey Johnson Dead at 30: Tila Tequila, Lindsay Lohan, & Samantha Ronson Mourn

Casey Johnson, great-granddaughter of Johnson & Johnson cofounder Robert Wood Johnson, was found dead, apparently of natural causes, Monday in her Los Angeles home.

The socialite was born into a privileged, elite circle as an heiress, growing up alongside the Hilton sisters Nicky and Paris, Nicole Richie, and Bijou Phillips. Johnson had many public battles with fellow socialites in the press and was romantically linked to many women, including Courtenay Semel, before announcing her recent engagement to Internet and reality star Tila Tequila.

Johnson leaves behind her daughter, adopted from Kazakhstan, Ava Monroe.  

Johnson’s fiancée, Tequila, posted a series of messages about the tragic loss of her future wife on her Twitter page before signing off to mourn with family. Tequila posted, "Everyone please pray 4 my wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all [your] love and support but I will be offline to be [with] family. This is a very heartbreaking time for me. I just want some [privacy] as I deal with the loss of my fiancé Casey Johnson... [my] heart is shredded. I'm still in shock! Once again thank U for the outpour of love and support. I just wish to have some privacy at this heartbreaking time. R.I.P my Angel. 

Tequila also posted, "@caseyjonsonJnJ u will forever be in my heart!" and, "I love u so so much and we will marry when I see u in Heaven my wifey. I can't stop these haunting visions of her and I. We made such a lovely couple, only beginning to spend the rest of our lives together..." 

Other famous lesbians and friends of Johnson’s echoed sentiments of loss and mourning on their Twitter pages, including DJ Samantha Ronson who posted, "R.I.P. Casey Johnson. Am so sick of those 3 letters." Ronson’s ex, Lindsay Lohan, retweeted that message, adding, “r.I.p. To a friend to and of many- Casey Johnson- my regards to her family, friends and her beautiful daughter Ava* you are in our hearts CJ."

The Hilton sisters, who were friends with Casey Johnson since childhood, were equally devastated by the news. E! Online reports Nicky  Hilton, who was godmother to Johnson’s daughter, stopped by the Johnsons’ residence to pay her respects with mom Kathy. Paris Hilton told Life & Style magazine, "I am devastated to hear this news. I've known Casey since I was a baby. She had a big heart and she was a good friend. I feel so sad, I don't want to believe it. My condolences go out to her family and loved ones." She later tweeted, "In bed crying, looking at baby pictures of Casey, Nicky and I. I feel so upset. I feel like I've lost a sister. My heart is broken. Miss her."

Johnson's father is New York Jets owner Woody Johnson. A statement from the NFL organization read, "The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time.”
